..flick watch...

I end the day with a hearty meal at KFC since I was really craving for their hot & spicy chicken. In some way it come in contrast to the wet and cold walk home. I watched two movies in a row. First was the Tagalog flick, Ang Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat. Well, as expected from a Tagalog comedy, I had some laugh...I've never been a big fan of Tagalog movies for the reason that you always know how the story ends long before you watch the entire film. Same plot as always.

The second movie I watched was Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans. I know this is a pretty popular movie. I've watched the two previous Underworld movies and I came to a conclusion that vampires are pretty damn cool in their always black outfits...at least, they always manage to look cool in the movies. I wouldn't dream of meeting a vampire for real. That would scare me to death. I find the movie stimulating and makes you really watch it. I like the vampires' gloomy surroundings with only a hint of color red shown in the scene when Viktor was drinking blood. I'm not into movie reviews so I leave it to you guys to watch the movie for yourselves and decide what to make of it.

...kassandra...

I watched an episode of the show Extreme Makeover Home Edition and it did really make an impact on me. I was very touched by Kassandra's story. And one thing why it also made an impression on me was that Kassandra has some resemblance with my niece, AJ. The show was aired four years ago and at that time Kassandra was already in therapy after she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. I have no information as to what happened to her now. I hope her cancer was finally gone and she was healed completely. I hope I can have information as to what happen to her now, how she's doing...

...you found me...

This is a video I made for the song "you found me" by The Fray. This is my initial foray in making a video by way of the Windows MovieMaker. The video clips are from the latest episode of the TV show "BONES'. I've always wanted to make a video between the two main characters of the show, Bones and Booth, with a background music of my choice. I was kind of curious of the videos I've watched on YouTube and I always wondered how they'd do that...then voila....It would be nice to hear your comments guys....

...Incredible India....

This is a longer version of an ad I saw on CNN and BBC, promoting India. I've never been anywhere in the world, much more in India. We all heard about the horrifying attacks in Mumbai last year. I believe every country has its own set of problems and skeletons in the closets. I get the feeling of being free and just plain simple happy whenever I watch the ad. I almost envy the guy shown on the commercial for doing those stuff he did in the ad and for just being being there and immersed himself in the experience and beauty of the place...incredible indeed....

..morning walk...

I woke up early today. I heard a light drizzle outside while I was taking a shower, the water was very cold. After I toweled myself dry and get dressed, I looked outside the window and to my dismay, I found out that it was raining already. Still, I proceeded to head outside and have my morning walk. I just brought along an umbrella just in case the rain would unleash its fury and won't let up. Thanks heavens, that after a few more minutes it just stop and I was able to finished more than a couple of laps on the track oval. I always get this nice feeling every time I can have my morning walk. It somehow makes me feel rejuvenated. Of course, its always a struggle for me to just hit the snooze button, whenever my alarm goes off and go back to sleep. Fortunately, for the past few days, I am able to resist the urge to just do that. I am crossing my fingers and fervently hope that I will not get sidetrack with this new endeavor of mine. Wish me luck..:-)

..look after you...

This is another compilation of photographs of my nieces and nephew, most of them actually. I am always behind the camera. It's my second try in using windows moviemaker. I believe I need more improvement. I'm not even sure if my choice of the background song is appropriate but I happen to like the song so there it goes...and it is something that, hopefully I can do for AJ, Mokang and JR, which is to look after them in my own little way...

...bittersweet symphony....

Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

Try to make ends meet

Your a slave to money then you die

I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down

You know the one that takes you to the places where all the things
meet

No change, I can't change I can't change, I can't change

But I'm here in my mold I am here in my mold

But I'm a million different people from one day to the next

I can't change my mold

No, no, no, no, no

Well I never pray. But tonight I'm on my knees yeah

I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah

I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now

But the airways are clean and there's nobody singing to me now

No change, I can't change I can't change, I can't change

But I'm here in my mold I am here in my mold

And I'm a million different people from one day to the next

I can't change my mold

No, no, no, no, no

I can't change I can't change

'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

Try to make ends meet.

Try to find some money then you die

I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down

You know the one that takes you to the places where all the things meet yeah

You know I can't change, I can't change I can't change, I can't change

But I'm here in my mold I am here in my mold

And I'm a million different people from one day to the next

I can't change my mold

No, no, no, no, no

I can't change my mold

No, no, no, no, no

I can't change

Can't change my body, no, no, no

I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down

I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down

Been down. Ever been down. Ever been down.
Ever been down. Ever been down.
That you've ever been down. That you've ever been down

...Roger Federer's setback in the Australian Open 2009...

This is my first blog post for the month of February and what a sad way to start this..or should I say begin this....I watched live the Men's Finals in the Australian Open yesterday. Since I started to get interested with tennis ( though I don't know how to play it), I've always been rooting for Roger Federer. I admire his display of grace and skills on the court every time he plays on countless matches of his career. And with the recently concluded Australian Open, I can't help but feel sad over his defeat from Rafael Nadal...Emotional he may be, Roger could not stop himself from showing to the world how close he comes to winning the match and how hurt he felt when he didn't make it....but still the show must go on...there will be other matches to come...and Roger will always be a great tennis player....

..booked...

Its always been a rare treat for me to go out and just take a stroll around the malls. But its not really my forte because I get tired easily from just walking around. Since my friend always requires my company then I always obliged , of course with something in return, a nice treat perhaps..( kidding aside)The only places inside the mall I feel so at home and at myself is the bookstores..National Bookstores either in Ayala or SM; Fully-booked in Ayala and PowerBooks in SM. These are the only places that I don't mind standing for hours just to peruse those nicely arranged books on the shelves. Whenever I came inside these places it feels like I am entering into a different world.. a world that i can fully comprehend and just be immersed in it...I love books and reading is something I prefer to do most of the time...Getting comfy in a corner and be lost to the story I have at hand is a kind of high for me....

..SINULOG 2009...

This will be my first time to be outside and have the first-hand view of this annual celebration. I have resided in Cebu City for a few years now and I never get to watch the grand Sinulog parade. I always abhor the crowd and the traffic it usually cause. But this year, I will be joining the photo contest. I will be taking pictures during the grand parade itself. I am excited about this event because this will be my first time..I will be pitting myself against professional photographers and newbies like myself...but then, I just want to be involve in this and just enjoy everything...and probably get some pointers from the pro on how to improve myself with regards to this newfound hobby of mine...

A&E

It's a blue, bright blue Saturday, hey hey
And the pain's starting to slip away, hey hey

I'm in a backless dress on a pastel ward that's shining
Think I want you still
But there may be pills at work

Do you really wanna know how I was dancing on the floor?
I was trying to phone you as I'm crawling out the door
I'm amazed at you, the things you say and that you don't do
Why don't you ring?

I was feeling lonely, feeling blue
Feeling like I needed you
Like I'm walking up surrounded by me
A&E

It's a blue, bright blue Saturday, hey hey
And the pain's starting to slip away, hey hey

I'm in a backless dress on a pastel ward that's shining
They gotta watch you still
But there may be pills at work

How did I get to accident and emergency?
All I wanted was you to take me out high
And I was feeling lonely, feeling blue
Feeling like I needed you
Like I hoped you'd call and hoped you'd see me

Simbang Gabi-Conclusion

I was able to complete the nine days dawn masses. I was not able to blog about it because I went home and I choose not to be in front of the computer for the duration of my vacation so to speak. For the 9th day mass, I was at home already.....It started at 4 AM and we had to go to church at 2 AM just to get some seats...we did actually but it was really hard for my part, especially not falling asleep during the homily...
